I am currently recruiting a Programme Manager on a 12-month fixed term basis on behalf of a utilities company in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design and delivery of the programme of work required to implement a new billing system and transition customers.

In this role you will report directly to the Technology and Transformation Director and will be responsible for the performance of all the workstream projects and evaluations within the programme. This will include resourcing, budget planning, governance structures, design decisions and financial reporting. The client has a 3rd party assisting with this programme of work so strong 3rd party/supplier management skills are essential as you will be responsible for ensuring that they are meeting agreed milestones ensuring the programme is on track.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading and managing the programme delivery team using a matrix management approach.
- Lead the creation and implementation of the programme governance cycle of meeting's and reporting / change methodologies and approach.
- Proactively mitigate risks and issues in order to minimise impact to the overarching programme deliverables.
- Lead by example through effective stakeholder management, including internal and external customers, delivery partners, project teams and senior stakeholders
- Responsible for recommending and applying appropriate project management principles, processes and methodologies for a variety of projects

Experience Required:
- Experience in planning, managing and delivering complex business change, IT transformation and data migration driven transformation programmes/projects to success.
- Relevant experience working within the utilities industry.
- Proven line management, supplier management as well as exceptional stakeholder management skills across multiple levels.
- Previous experience in managing budgets and project resource.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present operational and technical information to a variety of audiences effectively and efficiently.
