Microsoft Technical Lead (Contract)

A Scottish Public Sector Client that we've worked with for many years now is currently looking for an experienced Microsoft Technical Lead to oversee the delivery, optimisation and ongoing improvement of Microsoft technologies across a large, multi‑partner environment. The successful candidate operate as a Technical SME, supporting colleagues & innovation team members & providing guidance, direction and solutions to complex issues and unexpected obstacles.
In this role, you'll help to shape the design, implementation and performance of Microsoft infrastructure and applications including M365, Azure, Windows Server, Entra ID, Intune, Windows 365, Teams and SharePoint Online. You'll work closely with technical teams, senior stakeholders, and partner organisations to ensure services are secure, efficient, and aligned with strategic goals.
What you'll bring
- Strong Technical Expertise / Solutions Design experience with deep knowledge of Microsoft M365 components, M365 infrastructure and M365 tenants, Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Windows 11, Windows 365 and InTune
- Solutions design expertise across core Microsoft Cloud and Infrastructure technologies
- Proven track record delivering enterprise-level projects, ideally in the Scottish Public Sector
- The ability to lead, influence and guide technical teams / key stakeholders
- A strategic, customer-focused approach with excellent problem‑solving skills
- Professional certifications would be highly advantageous but not essential - ITIL Foundation, MS-102-365 Admin, MS-203-365 Messaging, MS-500-365 Security Admin and AZ‑900 etc
