A well known Life & Pensions organisations in Edinburgh is currently seeking an "IT Operator" Contractor to join their team.
Remotely based, 6 months initially and paying up to £340 per day (via an Umbrella Company), the successful candidate will be working as part of a 7x24x365 shift team and amongst other tasks, will be responsible for:
*The monitoring of online services with escalation of any service issues to the appropriate Support Teams
* Monitoring of Batch Processing - ensuring completion within agreed SLA's & escalation of failures as per agreed Operational processes and procedures
* Escalation of any Service Issues that the Operations Team are unable to deal with
To be successful in this Contract, our Client seeks candidates with the following knowledge & experience:
1) Previous experience in another IT Operator Role/Contract
2) Detailed understanding of IT Operations / IT Services / Batch Processing / Scheduling etc
3) Broad IT Support skills & experience
4) Broad technical knowledge across IBM z/OS, IBM JCL, AS400 Operations, TWS Scheduling, knowledge of ServiceNow and strong knowledge of Windows and MS Office
5) Previous experience within the Life & Pensions sector would be highly advantageous (but not essential)
6) Strong people, communication, customer service & Stakeholder Management skills
