Our Financial Services client is recruiting for an Infrastructure Architect to join them for an initial 6 month contract. This role will be based from London with 2 days per week expected onsite. It is available via umbrella company only and can pay up to £600/day.
This individual will work closely with technical teams responsible for a banking product or service, working proactively to influence their strategy, whilst translating business requirements and specifications into infrastructure designs, exploring delivery options, documenting decisions and iterating ideas throughout.
Our client is looking for contractors with a broad technical knowledge and experience, with an ability to apply that knowledge to create design, and coordinate technical delivery.
To be considered for this role, applicants should demonstrate:
* Experienced in the design/architecture of infrastructure solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment
* Broad Technical / Infrastructure knowledge potentially including some of the following: Windows Server, Linux, UNIX, SQL, oracle, Websphere, SAN infrastructure, VmWare, Citrix, IBM P Series, Oracle Hardware, HP and Lenovo plus a good experience of networking technology such as F5
* Experienced in migrating legacy applications to cloud based solutions (both to in house private cloud and external e.g. GCP or Azure)
* Ability to engage with Suppliers, SMEs, Business Teams in a meaningful way.
* Consultancy and cost estimates
* Hands-On experience of end-to-end project delivery, working with Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall delivery models including modern software development and deployment practices
