Head Resourcing are working with global brand who are now actively looking for an IT Security Engineer to join the team in Glasgow. A varied, challenging role you will be responsible for the support of information security Infrastructure, processes and standards providing a first-class service to the business across multiple locations and time zones.

Typical tasks and problems in the role can include
*Monitoring the Endpoint Protection Client and manage the timely remediation of issues
*Onboard new users to the Cyber Security awareness and Phishing testing program
*Assist with the testing and deployment of Windows and Application security patches
*Investigate and lead Security incidents - targeting phishing, Zero-day Malware and implement countermeasures
*Perform security audits and provide recommendations, corrective actions for the network and firewall estate
In order to be successful in the role, candidates need
*Extensive experience and knowledge of IT Operational Security Services.
*Previous experience in core technologies such as access control, encryption, multi-factor authentication, intrusion detection and vulnerability management.
*Good Analytical background with an awareness of the potential risks associated with balancing the commercial and operational requirements with good security.
*Experience and confidence of working cross functionally and culturally
*Ability to use own initiative with a pro-active 'can do' attitude
*Excellent analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines
*Capable of problem solving with the ability to generate ideas and solutions
*Solid understanding of OS and network protocol topics (Windows, Linux, hypervisors, databases, TCP/IP protocols, routing);
*Strong knowledge in managed Firewall, IDS, IPS, content filtering, antivirus technology, mail gateways, and identity management.
*Understanding of ISO27001/GDPR/PCI: DSS.
*Cortex XDR endpoint protection and monitoring or similar enterprise product
*Windows infrastructure and client diagnostics/troubleshooting skills
*Monitoring / diagnostic tools - Security Incident and Event Monitoring (SIEM)
