Cloud Operations Manager - Technical Cloud Operations

Head Resourcing require an IT Manager to join a high performing and customer focused financial services supplier. Operating with Cloud Office (CIO) to manage multiple cloud environments - principally AWS (and soon Azure), directly or via a 3rd party supplier. To develop an environment which is fit for the future, to automate, deliver IaaS, and ensure the full benefits of cloud technology.
What We are looking for

*Have hands-on experience in system administration role, and cloud platform
management (AWS)
*Experience of central authentication (LDAP/AD) and security
*Experience of developing automation solutions and working in a highly automated
environment
*AWS Solutions Architect or SysOps Admin Certification
*Infrastructure as Code automation experience essential: Terraform, Ansible,
CloudFormation etc
*AWS core services, including: Compute and Networking, Storage and CDN, Database on
EC2/RDS, Application Services, Deployment and Management
*Network technologies as they relate to AWS networking, including: Route53 and load
balancing, Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), and AWS Direct Connect
*Strong technical Linux experience - Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) preferred
*Have a good broad technical knowledge across Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud
etc)
*Have strong experience in Cloud deployments (Public & Private), service Continuity,
disaster recovery and site replication solutions
*Smart Monitoring & Alerting for Capacity & performance optimisation
*Good understanding of applying infrastructure as code to control and automate build
processes, Windows servers and infrastructure, hybrid identity using Azure AD
Connect for SSO integration
*Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD tools (such as Jenkins, Ansible, Packer, Docker)
*Ability to control cloud costs, provide improvement suggestions for service and
pricing, propose solutions and influence architectures in line with technical best
practises

*Be the subject matter expert in all cloud services related matter within the
organisation
*Be confident in applying core ITIL principles and comfortable operating in a Service
integration and management (SIAM) environment
*Support the Cloud Office Architect in leading its governance within the
Infrastructure Design Authority (IDA) and the Technical Design Authority (TDA)
*Contribute to requirements gathering, architecture, design, and implementation of
enterprise class cloud services.
*Provide 3rd line support for Cloud Infrastructure components server/storage/network
environments.
*Participate in change projects, from an operational perspective, plan and build
operational capability for both the current and future environments.
*Resolve incidents, improves performance and availability, problem solves complex
integration issues and implements automation for production and development.
*Develop and implement cost optimisation strategies and guidelines.
