Business System Analyst - Edinburgh (Hybrid)
Up to £45,000 per annum
Head Resourcing is working with an offshore survival products company who are on the lookout for a Business System Analyst to join the team. My client who are developing a remotely operated Search and Rescue (SAR) Service for the Offshore Renewable Industry has specialist expertise in SAR operations, technology integration and automation systems.
Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Business System Analyst to continue this journey with them. This is a hybrid role with working from the office based in Edinburgh city centre 1-2 days per week and working from home the rest of the week. There is some flexibility with how often you must be in the office each week. Please be mindful when applying that you will need to be able to commute to the office in Edinburgh.
The ideal team member is a dynamic self-starter; someone who can work with our Engineers, Architects and Customers to understand, capture and support the delivery.
Role Duties:
- Contribute to programs of activities that will continuously improve the company tools and the efficiency of delivery.
- Develop processes and controls to improve safety and service maturity.
- Engage with the engineering community to identify requirements, monitor delivery, support test and certification.
- Conduct data analysis to support decision making.
- Engage with external suppliers and internal teams to provide effective services.
- Implement and maintain online knowledge repositories to ensure relevant and accurate information is available.
- Support overall delivery, operation, performance measurement, monitoring and reporting.
Required experience:
- 5+ years of experience and proven track record of Business, Systems or Engineering Analysis.
- Degree in Engineering or Computer Science discipline or demonstrable experience a related field.
- Knowledge and experience of Project Management in an Engineering and Software Development environment.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence or MS Project.
- Collaborative approach and can work well in diverse teams.
- Analytical and logical approach with a strong desire for continuous improvement.
- Ability to confidently communicate and interact using a variety of methods, whether in person or remote, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated to work independently, with a proactive can do attitude.
- Some travel will be required (< 10%).
