Business Analyst - Development (Agile / Scrum) - Permanent - Central Edinburgh

Head Resourcing is currently recruiting for a Business Analyst to work with one of the leading lights in the Scottish financial services industry, a client with an exceptional employer / employee reputation. Our client utilises technology to it's fullest and is keen to recruit a Business Analyst with a demonstrable background in delivering solutions working alongside business users, product owners, developers and UX designers - working collaboratively to gather, challenge, agree and document requirements, and work through potential solutions and driving delivery. This is a great opportunity to work end-to-end within the application development lifecycle, from project initiation through to delivery of applications and technical solutions - working closely with business stakeholders / end users / product owners to analyse business processes and requirements to assist in creating robust software applications and enhancing existing applications. Responsibilities:
- Work closely with business users and stakeholders to elicit and document business needs; this will include process mapping, gap analysis, business requirements, and other analysis artefacts
- Work collaboratively with technical teams including UX / UI design and development to investigate how requirements can be met
- Represent business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle and ensure business requirements are being met
- Build strong working relationships to ensure effective communication across technical teams and business users / stakeholders
- Help facilitate development and testing and provide support throughout
- Share knowledge of analysis techniques and experience with other staff within the department

Essential:
- Strong background in working as a Business Analyst and liaising with internal development teams
- Strong requirements gathering experience
- Documentation experience utilising process maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Awareness of the software development lifecycle
- Experience in workshops, interviewing, and meeting facilitation
- Development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban

Desirable:
- Any accreditation in Agile methodologies
- Experience working within development teams
- Any experience within the investment or asset management industries
