Our client, a boutique financial services organisation based in Edinburgh, is recruiting for an experienced Application Support Specialist with strong skills in Oracle and PL/SQL.
Starting as soon as possible for a 6 month initial contract, the role for the time being will be based remotely, however there will be a requirement to be in the city centre Edinburgh office possibly 3 days per week when office based work resumes.
The selected candidate will provide 2nd Line support on 3rd Party & inhouse built applications, troubleshooting and resolving issues raised by users. This will involve code changes, data fixes, restarting processes, and providing advice to users - ideally you will have experience of explaining issues and solutions in non-technical language to users. You will have previous experience of working with Oracle and PL/SQL and will have strong troubleshooting / root cause analysis skills. As you are supporting a number of systems that are used across the organisation you will gain excellent exposure to the investment industry and it is a fantastic opportunity to learn new business skills.
