The Role
The primary focus of the role is to provide knowledge and expertise in the installation, management and support of Linux based systems. The role requires you to be proficient in the CentOS Linux distribution with technologies such as Apache, Nginx and MySQL.

You will be working in the 'Web & DB Team". The team along with others makes up the Infrastructure & Operations Department, consisting of approximately 40 staff members. You will be working closely with colleagues across all ISDS, but specifically with teams such as Security Operations, Networks, Servers, Identity, End User Compute and Information Security.

In return, this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills and work in a large organisation providing Linux and Web based solutions.

About you:
*Good communication, both written and oral
*Ability to work and interact with other teams to deliver on agreed deadlines
*Customer service focused approach
*A high level of knowledge and expertise with installing, managing, patching and supporting Linux/Unix based systems
*Broad knowledge and experience of enterprise level IT systems
*Expertise in CentOS, Apache, Nginx and MySQL.
*Linux Web based solutions at an enterprise level for both business operations and hosting operations
*Bash Scripting
*Some experience of using MySQL, php and Apache on Windows based servers
