2nd / 3rd Line Wintel Support Analyst - Edinburgh - Permanent - up to £40K

Head Resourcing is currently recruiting for a 2nd / 3rd Line Wintel Support Analyst to work with our highly reputable client based in Edinburgh. You will work as part of a well-established team that delivers 2nd and 3rd line support to users - primarily around server and end user compute technologies (such as Microsoft Server technology, Active Directory, and MS Exchange). You will have a strong problem solving ability coupled with excellent communication skills and will have a wide range of experience across the Wintel space. Our client utilises technology to its fullest capability and it underpins the success they have as a business - they utilise a wide range of technology in the infrastructure space and you will be exposed to a wide range of new skills (such as VMWare, Exchange Online, mobile device management). They are keen that the talent they recruit for this role is a highly motivated individual that is driven by technology and is open to learning new skills and understanding the impact technology has on the success or failure of any business.

Responsibilities:
- Provide 2nd / 3rd level technical support for server / end user compute technology to users in Edinburgh and remote sites, acting as an escalation point for the Service Desk
- Identify and resolve technical issues in line with business requirements and agreed SLA's
- Engage with 3rd party / vendors where appropriate to escalate priority issues needing resolved
- Undertake analysis of current / proposed systems and technologies, report findings and recommendations where appropriate
- Ensure team process documentation is updated and accurate, and creating new documentation as required

Essential:
- Experienced delivery 2nd / 3rd line support in a fast paced enterprise level environment
- In-depth understanding of infrastructure technologies
- Microsoft Windows Server 2012 / 2016
- Active Directory - Group Policy, DHCP, DNS
- Microsoft Exchange (preferably Exchange 2016)
- MS Office (ideally Office 365)
- Solid understanding of ITIL and IT processes including incident, problem, and change management

Desirable:
- Microsoft accreditation (MCSA, MCSE)
- ITIL Foundation
- F5 load balancers
- VMWare Horizon
- Powershell
- Azure experience
- Networking technologies (LAN, WAN, WLAN, TCP/IP)
- Exchange Online
- Mobile Device Management (Intune, Airwatch)
