2nd / 3rd Line Network Support Analyst - Edinburgh - Permanent - up to £40K

Head Resourcing is currently recruiting for a 2nd / 3rd Line Network Support Analyst to work with our highly reputable client based in Edinburgh. You will work as part of a well-established team that delivers 2nd and 3rd line support to users - primarily around LAN / WAN issues, firewalls issues, and the Cisco product suite. You will have a strong problem solving ability coupled with excellent communication skills and will have a wide range of experience across networking. Our client utilises technology to its fullest capability and it underpins the success they have as a business - they utilise a wide range of technology in the networking space and you will be keen to learn new skills (such as Palo Alto and SD-WAN). They are keen that the talent they recruit for this role is a highly motivated individual that is driven by technology and is open to learning new skills and understanding the impact technology has on the success or failure of any business.

- Provide 2nd / 3rd level technical support for networking technology to users in Edinburgh and remote sites, acting as an escalation point for the Service Desk
- Identify and resolve technical issues in line with business requirements and agreed SLA's
- Engage with 3rd party / vendors where appropriate to escalate priority issues needing resolved
- Undertake analysis of current / proposed systems and technologies, report findings and recommendations where appropriate
- Ensure team process documentation is updated and accurate, and creating new documentation as required

- Experienced delivery of 2nd / 3rd line support in a fast paced enterprise level environment
- In-depth understanding of network technologies - LAN / WAN / WLAN / TCP/IP
- Experience with Cisco technologies (Nexus preferred)
- Experience supporting Firewalls (ASA, Palo Alto etc.)
- Experience supporting Wireless technologies (Cisco Wireless, Meraki)
- Experience with load balancing products
- Solid understanding of ITIL and IT processes including incident, problem, and change management

- CCNA / ITIL accreditation
- F5 load balancers
- VMWare Horizon
- Azure experience
- Network packet analysis
- Microsoft Infrastructure - Windows 10 / Server 2016
