Job Description	Engineering Manager - Head Resourcing is currently working in partnership with one of the largest Energy Engineering Companies in the world. With an enviable reputation and a strong presence in over 20 countries this company is now focused on developing their profile in the UK. They currently require an Engineering Manager to join their Power Generation division in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to get involved right from the beginning, leading to quick career progression while earning a market leading salary along with excellent benefits. The ideal candidate will be degree qualified - BSc, BEng, extensive experience working on Power Plants (coal) is essential. Have a proven track record within engineering activities (some of them as engineering team manager). Valuable experience (at least 10 years) in Power Plant or Process Plants engineering, where you will have been involved in FEED, EPC type projects involving new-builds and retrofit. Essential Knowledge and Experience- The ideal candidate will have the following: * A good knowledge of Engineering Methodology including: producing relevant documents (clear and concise reports and documents covering technical subjects), engineering work processes, risk management, engineering scheduling, costing, estimating. * A strong knowledge of technical areas: mechanical, electrical, civil, and design to assist in correct decision making regarding general design of installations. * Excellent knowledge and experience of power technology and its components including; gas turbines, steam turbines, boiler technologies, renewables and oil and gas. * Experience in contract management: FIDIC contracts, contractual claims etc. * Demonstrable negotiation skills and team management capabilities.
