Head Resourcing tops this year’s list of companies based in Scotland to appear in the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 annual league table, published on Sunday (3rd December 2006). Head Resourcing is ranked no 5 nationally and is listed as the fastest growing recruitment agency in the UK. Sales have grown 207% a year from £256,000 in 2002 to £7.4m in 2005.
Not content with selling two previous businesses, Paul Atkinson and Gordon Adam started out for a third time with Edinburgh-based Head Resourcing in 2002. Head Resourcing primarily recruits within Accountancy, Financial Services, IT, HR, Procurement, and Sales & Marketing. Head has over 100 regular clients, including both large-scale corporates as well as fast growing entrepreneurial enterprises.

The firm plans to expand further by both organic growth and acquisition. This has included acquiring a controlling stake in the executive search company Carlyle Associates earlier this year in order to expand its range of recruitment offerings.
Additionally, Head Resourcing has set its sights on London and Dubai in the near term, hoping to build on existing successes in these areas.
