Energy
After several years of carrying out ad-hoc engineering assignments, in 2008 our board made a strategic decision to enter the engineering market, with a specific focus on power generation, transmission and distribution, and renewable energy.
We invest heavily in advertising, but our expertise includes thorough and smart searching, rather than relying purely on databases. Many candidates in the market are passive jobseekers, and by combining traditional search techniques, our expanding network and innovative use of the web, we are able to seek out the most elusive staff.
A key part of the recruitment process is taking the time to understand the employer, the requirement and the ideal person profile. Our consultants are trained to ask the right questions, understand the essential parameters and to go beyond the obvious.
As skilled engineers are a rare commodity, we also seek out the best talent and market them proactively to our clients.
We do not continually send out CVs around the marketplace, but once we have qualified a high quality candidate, we work with them to identify a small number of companies that would suit their aspirations and make a confidential introduction. This means that when you do receive an introduction from us, you can be confident that it will be of a candidate who is well qualified, serious about a move and interested in potentially working for your organisation.
Specialisations
We are client led, focussed on servicing the talent requirements of companies across the UK and worldwide. This means that we do not restrict our searches to core disciplines; rather we will assess each role and give an honest evaluation of our ability to source suitable candidates.
The following are examples of the type of areas that we typically cover, both contract and staff:
- Power Transmission & Distribution – Power Systems Analysis and Design, Protection and Control, Substations (both primary and secondary design), Overhead Lines, Cabling, Grid Connections
- Power Generation (Coal, CHP, CCGT, Nuclear) – Balance of Plant (BOP), Boiler and Combustion, Thermal Power, Rotating Plant, Outage & Decommissioning
